I stayed at the hotel in Birmingham, when we arrived there was a group of people trying to book a room but it was full. The gentleman behind the reception desk was polite and friendly. The car park was large and we could see your car from the room. The keypad on the door made me feel safe leaving items in the room. it wasn't too far out of the city center and there were bus stops outside, a McDonalds and a Morrison's in the same area. The room was small but comfortable, our room slept 3 people. The WC's and showers were clean and the showers were very spacious. The hotel met my needs and I'll use it again. Since staying I've discovered that they have hotels in many parts of Europe and my friends and myself are planning a trip to Madrid using the Formul1hotel. ...

F1hotels are now in Britain and i have personally roadtested 5 of them out of the 8 or so in the country.
As far as they go F1hotels are plain and dull, DO NOT PLAN A ROMANTIC WEEKEND IN ONE but if you need somewhere to crash for the night its perfect. They are all pretty much the same with the same room layout double bed with a single bunk above, tv and shelf in the corner and a large wash basin and mirror next to the bed. Sequrity is quite good as all rooms have a unique number lock written on the back of your room card. There are toilets along the hall which are similar to those found on an economy class plane. Showers are also down the hall with each shower in a small seperate room. The showers are always hot and quite powerful but work on a push button tap so you have to keep pressing it otherwise it runs dry after a minute ...
Advantages: Cheap, on the main stretch to Barcelona centre, relaxing and functional. Disadvantages: get booked up very quickly in summer, no lift to floors.
As this is the first review for this Formule1, I'm going to make it a good one.
We have stayed there many time's and always got a good nights sleep.
These hotels offer exactly what people need, clean rooms, warm, comfy beds with TV, Basin and mirror in each room. There are half a dozen toilets and about 3 showers per floor (so not for those who don't want to skip down a corridor to the loo) and they even supply the washing soap and towels. In each shower there's a massive dryer to do the whole body!!! The corridors and rooms are all carpeted so your feet don't get cold on the way to the shower. The toilets and showers are all on an automatic cleaning cycle and several times a day the doors are automatically locked (when there's no one inside) and the rooms are blasted with water!!!
