If you're looking for a peaceful holiday, Texel in the months July and August is definitely not the place to be. Although the mass tourism concentrates in the western part of the island (De Koog-area), is's hard to find some quiet spots in these months. Besides that, if you're going there by car, you'll be confronted with large waiting times and delays at the ferry. The eastern part (the Wadden side) is all year long much quieter, with the possible exception of Oudeschild, the target harbour of many authentic sailing ships and modern yachts. So the best time to visit Texel is (late) Spring or (early) Autumn. Like the other islands Texel is ideal for cyclists, although it has less special cycling paths than the others. If you're only looking for a brief acquaintance with Texel and the other Wadden Islands, you might enjoy island hopping with special cycling tour operators like wadfietsen.nl or fiets-fun.nl (fiets is Dutch for bycicle). But even with a short stay: don't forget to visit "de Slufter", a sea inlet north of De Koog, a beautiful nature reserve.

Welcome to Ciao! A good start, but as mentioned below, more info would be helpful.

For the more geographically challenged amongst us I think it would be a good idea to at least mention whereabouts this is situated! I have no clue. Something about where to stay, prices to get there and stay there and more on what to see and do when you are there would also help make this a much better review!
