GENERAL INFORMATION ON THAI AIRWAYS
Founded in 1951 as a domestic concern, Thai Airways flies to thirty seven countries on four continents. Whilst the majority of their international flights head to and from Australasia, they also offer a service to the USA (Los Angeles and New York), three countries in the Middle East (one of which is United Arab Emirates), South Africa (Johannesberg) and ten countries in Europe. In England, the Thai Airways service ... ...has been the case that Thai Airways are one of the more expensive whilst EVA tend to be the most economical, particularly for direct routes. On this occasion, Thai were the cheapest for the period in which I needed to travel. Cost aside, this was a pleasant surprise as I have heard such positive reports regarding the airline. A further incentive that Thai offer is a very good airmiles service. Several veterans have told me that this discount scheme ...

Advantages: Good legroom, tasty food, excellent staff Disadvantages: Lack of personal TVs
...from Heathrow to Bangkok with Thai Airways the lovely Miss Morrisette and I shared brain space. Peppered with a few flash backs to Final Destination for good measure. Variety being the spice of life and all that. The very last thing I needed to complete the rising panic was a drunk. A foul mouthed, abusive, loud, aggressive drunk. Lovely. Because that’s exactly what I got.
The cabin crew on Thai Air are famed for their hospitality and their smiles ... ...pretty excited about that. Thai Air reportedly has a greater level of legroom than many other airlines and I certainly never felt cramped. Fully reclined the seats in economy didn’t feel like they encroached too much on the person behind either. I could comfortably have my seat upright while the seat in front was fully reclined and not feel claustrophobic. We were provided with a small pillow and a blanket to try and help us sleep, which certainly ...

Go Thai Review ofThai Airways International - THAby

Advantages: Good Legroom, Decent Food, Good Service Disadvantages: Poor choice of entertainment options in Economy
...This time around I picked Thai Airways, a brief search on the net came back with some favourable opinions on the airline and the price was comparable considering it was a direct flight. Yes I could have saved a few quid by going non-direct but the money you'd save is not worth the hassle of waiting around.
The people of Thailand are a peaceful and courteous bunch that make you wish that we had similar respect for other human beings in this country. ... ...BA. Thankfully a seat on Thai Airways offers a bit more room to stretch out and you could actually cross your legs without fear of being wedged in!
Now when you're on a plane for over ten hours you need something to keep you occupied. Sadly this is where you suffer by going with Thai. In comparison to other airlines I've been with, the entertainment is poor. You don't get a personal screen in economy. Instead there is a central projector so everyone ...

Fly with a smile Review ofThai Airways International - THAby

Advantages: Thai hospitality, above average legroom Disadvantages: Not always the cheapest option
...had the pleasure of flying Thai now a few of times and have found it always a pleasure. The staff at check in and on the plane are charming, polite and always have tried to do everything to help. Add to the fact that ( and I know I am being sexist here so apologies ) they have the best looking stewardesses and one of the nicest sounding languages I am just a sucker in their hands.
All levity aside, the airline does have one of the newest fleets ... ...is generally of a high standard so safety is not normally an issue.
Routes are widespread within Asia as you can imagine and to major cities in Europe and America. The airline is also part of the Star Alliance with British Midland, Lufthansa and others so frequent flyer miles can soon mount.
The last trip I had was a short hop from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok. Even in economy there was more than average room between seats so even a 6 footer should ...

Advantages: Good friendly service, more leg room than most and good food Disadvantages: sometimes not all cabin crew speak English 100%, no seat back TV's
...a couple of times with Thai International. They have some benefits that other airlines sometimes lack. The main one for me is the extra leg room in economy - they dont squash in extra rows so you can stretch out a bit which is great on a long flight. Also they have more cabin crew than lots of airlines which means better service (although their English is not always up to scratch, they are very keen to serve drinks which is good! They serve excellent ...
