Hyatt Regency in Royal Hua Hin !
Review of Hyatt Regency, Hua Hin by ROYALP

Advantages: 5 Star luxury at affordable prices.
Disadvantages: A little off the beaten track.

From the moment you arrive at the impressive front entrance with its long sweeping driveway you can tell that this hotel has 'class'. Situated on the edge of Hua hin (yet easily reached by foot in 15/20 minutes) the complex has low rise beautiful accomodation set around stunning gardens and pools and across from the enormous free form swimming pool (which has a wicked steep slide..not for the faint hearted!) lies a gorgeous stretch of white powdery ...
...gigantic golden statue of Buddha which towers over the rocky headland. The local monks will be glad to see you and you can have them pray with you and give you a twisted coloured rope bracelet which is supposed to keep you from harm and bring you peace. Turn left and you can walk into town, this will take you close to the King of Thailands Royal Palace (who holidays here). Although no golf course of their own they have arrangements with the local ... Highly Overrated!
Review of Central Samui Beach Resort, Ko Samui by Ni-xxx

Advantages: Great location and great beach
Disadvantages: Not high quality

The main reason we stayed at this hotel was because we had read such wonderful reviews on various websites. It costs about 100 Baht per person to take a minibus from the airport to the hotel and they drop you right outside. When we first arrived at the hotel we were not greeted by any one and there wasn't a single member of staff to be found. We found this rather odd as we had already stayed at three different (and supposedly lesser quality) hotels ...
...in point and no one was around to even help us with our bags so we were struggling with everything. After a couple of minutes someone came to us. We eventually checked in and while we were waiting, we were given a welcome drink - ice cold guava juice in a coconut, which was their only plus point so far! We were also given an ice cold cloth which was needed as it get soo hot. The rooms were average to say the least but had all the basics. Air conditioning, ... Read review

Best value for money hotel on Chaweng Beach
Review of Chaba Cabana Beach Resort, Ko Samui by MillionMilesAway

Advantages: Location and price
Disadvantages: None

The Chaba Cabana is located at the northern end of Chaweng Beach, an area that for me was ideal. You are far away enough from the centre of Chaweng that you can enjoy peaceful afternoons relaxing on uncrowded parts of the beach, then in the evening you are only 35-40 minutes walk or a 5-10 minute taxi to the centre for all your bars and restaurants. The rooms, although nothing spectaculor were of a good standard, very clean and spacious. Breakfast ...
...of the rooms at the Chaba Cabana are on the beach side of the road. I would describe the Chaba Cabana as a competitively priced 4 star hotel we paid approx. £80 per night but long stays often benefit from free nights, certainly very good value for money and would reccommend to any type of visitor to Koh Samui. ...
