Advantages: Better for families than much of the Cote d'Azur Disadvantages: Gets very crowded and is a bit over developed
Antibes and Juan Les Pins are administratively and geographically linked and form a resort that together provides all you will want on an holiday.
Situated on the Baie des Anges across from Nice you are well placed to visit Nice, Monaco or even Italy to the east or Cannes to the west. Saint Tropez is not very far but is difficult to reach other than by what can be a very long car journey and I would certainly advise against the attempt during July and August.
The easiest way to reach Antibes from the UK is by air direct to Nice Cote d'Azur International Airport you will then have the choice of Taxi, bus or train to Antibes ( Juan les Pins has its own railway station 2 mins further down the line ). Advantages: Nice, a big town, on the sea side, close to mountains, good life. Disadvantages: So often fully booked even on low period due to congresspeople.
). Situated in the area of the old town at the top there is a cascade and up the cascade a panoramic place with a superb point of view of the rooves and domes of the city and further to Antibes and Cannes and the snowy mountains on winter times. Great.
Once you are in Nice, you can easily get to Monaco (20 KM) or Cannes (25 KM), Nice is half way between the both famous towns.
It will be better to get to Antibes or Cannes sandy beaches (private or public) rather than Nice's rocky beaches only stones but the famous Promenade des Anglais is a 7 KM sidewalk, great for rollerskating, running or bikes.
From London with EasyJet, Nice is easy to get only 2 1/2 hours and prices are really cheap if you book in advance by Internet : www.easyjet.com.
By chance you can come once in Nice but you will need to come back many times.

for a spin. I was sat behind the drivers seat. He wasn't being that reckless or anything, but did put his foot down a bit much. Then at one of the widest openings to any town road, he was going too fast, drifted onto the grass verge and somehow seemed to aim the car directly at a lamp post, dead centre, right through the bonnet and of course engine. We all piled out of now written off car with screams of "It's gonna blow! Get Down!" Too many action films for us 17 year olds. It didn't blow, and nobody was hurt. But my friend was in shock, and deep trouble. It all worked out in the end though.
