In the wake of another earthquake in The Andaman Sea last night and the evacuation of everyone to the nearby hills, I thought I'd write a review of PatongBeach as I saw it on my recent travels around Asia and in particular Thailand. It's my ay of hopefully bringing back the custom to Phuket.
Luckily, last night, the all clear was sounded about three hours after the evacuation meaning everyone could return home for some sleep before waking up this morning and 'getting on with it' as normal.

We stayed at club andaman in March 2008 for our honeymoon.
It is a lovely resort with friendly staff and all the amenities which you would expect of a resort like this. The breakfast buffet was extensive with fresh and tasty food every morning and also served evening meals with a different theme being offered every night ( I advise thursdays which is seafood night). The two swimiing pools are large and were always very clean.
It is right on the main tourist strip opposite patongbeach and i really advise you watch the sunset which is beautiful. There are many pubs and restaurnats right outside the hotel and i would reccomend Rock City for music lovers as the food is modern and western, fresh and cheap.
