I visited the Anglers Rest on Saturday evening with a group of friends, as we were staying over the road at the Church House. We received a warm welcome and were seated at the top level which for perfect for our group of eight. We were delighted by the menu which we found to offer a wide variety of food at very reasonable prices. The Chef/owner visited our table to tell us what specials were available in addition to the menu. We had three courses, plus two round of drinks, plus liquire coffes, all for under £20 per person. The quality of the food and the presentation was excellent. The staff gave a good service and the other customers in the pub were very friendly and chatty. I will definitley be visiting this pub again and intend to take my family for Sunday lunch.
