Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury

Advantages: Lots of lovely trees, and a nice wander around
Disadvantages: Not great if you don't like trees (!)

We visited The Westonbirt Arboretum, near Tetbury, last week, so I thought I'd let you all know what it's all about and what we thought of it. There are two main areas to Westonbirt, and we wandered around both of then, the Old Arboretum (started in the 1820's by a chap called Robert Holford) and The Silk Wood, expanded by Holford's son, George, who took over in the 1870's. in 1956 the entire 600 acres (240 hectares) were handed over to the Forestry Commission who manage things now. There are lots of lovely trees and plants, and some very good paths around then, and everything's labelled with very informative signs. There's a seasonal "Spring Trail" at the moment with numbered plaques providing even more infomation about the greenery you're walking through. Westonbirt has a wide range of facilities, all close to the main car ...

Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum

Advantages: Gorgeous Smell
Disadvantages: A tad expensive

I bought this product myself, whilst going on holiday in the duty free section. Part of the reason for this is because it is very expensive, especially the eau de parfum. This is a lovely fragrance that is sweet smelling that after one spray lasts for ages, which is why I think it is worth the money spent because it means you have to use less of the perfume, which with some others you have to spray numerous times, over the course of the day in order to still smell it. Whereas, with this one, that isn't necessary. However, I recommend buying the eau de toilette if you don't want to spend as much money, but again, it may mean you have to use more of it. Buy this product if you feel like splurging and treating yourself. It also makes a really nice gift and in my experience, lasts a significant amount of time. I think this is ...

Review of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette Spray

De-lightful and stunning venue!

Advantages: Excellent service, beautiful grounds, superb accommodation
Disadvantages: Not close to public transport access

excellent. One of our friends had the Thetford pork loin, one had the organic salmon, and three of us opted for the carvery which on weekends you had to have two courses, but given the selection of starters and desserts was no real trial! - We naturally went for the dessert option! We also had drinks and a couple bottles of wine - No-one in our group could fault the quality and service, especially when the member of waiting staff overheard us wishing our friend happy birthday - She asked if we would like some balloons - and a few minutes later came back with a bunch all ribboned and weighted! You can see the full selection of menus offered at Dunston Hall if you go to the De Vere website. After lunch we took and gentle stroll in the grounds, and were able to view parts of the golf course that are part of the complex. As we were only ...
