They are very sick... They do have have live music occasionally, but usually it is just a place to chill out and get a good pint of Guinness down you. It is a comfortable Irish theme pub, although there are some Belgian Beers available for consumption too.
Advantages: Excellent location (only 5 minutes walk from the Grand Place), free wireless internet access Disadvantages: Fittings seemed well-used, rooms dark
of breakfast, with juices and coffees and it was all self-service, with breakfast from 6:30am on weekdays (very practical) and until 11am on weekend days (likewise!). Instead of a minibar in the room there were items for sale by the reception at non-minibar prices.
Locationwise it was very practical - only a few hundred metres from Brussels Central station (for the train to Zaventem airport) and from the Grand Place and for the conference facilities of the National Bank of Belgium.
All in all the hotel was perfectly satisfactory, but not somewhere I would consider for a romantic weekend break given its lack of facilities, although for price and location for business travel it was perfectly adequate for my needs. ...

and cafes you should go to but if time is limited you should at least try to seek out one of the following.

perhaps the best fruit beer cafe in town. Around the corner to the main bank in Brussels frequented by the richer set who paid people to queue fro them at the bank while they drank and played a pub game similar to shut-the-box. Occasionally, a runner would return from the bank to summon one of the players would have to leave the game immediately or suffer a ?sudden death? or Mort Subite
