In the day time The Beach runs as a café beach bar, with an outside seating area onto Brighton beach itself you will get a great view of the pier.
At about 10pm all the tables and chairs are cleared from the outside, the doors are shut and it turns into a night club.
The night club is massive with a double sided bar in the middle of the room. There is also a chill out room separate from the main dance floor with large comfy chairs so that you can give your danced out legs a rest.
For those of you who smoke a tented outside area is available, but you can not take your drinks out with you.
I have been for two birthday parties, on for Tricia24 with a mixture of people aged between 25 – 30+ and again for my sisters 21st birthday with an age range of 18 – 22 years olds. Both groups loved it as much as the other. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone seems to have a good time.
The queues for the bar where 3 people deep which was slightly irritating but to be honest when the music is that good I don’t really want to keep drinking, I would rather spend my time dancing instead.
Where is it?
The Beach Club, 171-181 Kings Road Arches, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1NB
If you walk to the pier, go down the steps onto the beach and head left you will soon see it. The club it’s self has been built in one of the arches under the road.
Special Music Nights:
Mondays: We Love 90’s, great pop tunes.
Wednesdays: Born in the 80’s, 80p entry for those born in the 80’s, great tunes to take you back to your youth! Also has special drinks promotions Fosters bottles £1.50, Tequila shots £1.50 and £2 promotions of certain spirits.
Fridays: Friday nights is Fever night with DJ’s bringing Disco and Funk music. Some Fridays they have special events and party nights.
I have only ever been on a Saturday, and both times I went they played a mixture 80’s and 90’s cheesy music and it was excellent, loads of Michael Jackson, George Michael, Madonna even a bit of Dolly Parton with ‘Working 9 till 5’
Who is it for?
This club seems to cater for a wide range of people, and is very popular with large parties for birthdays, hen and stag do’s etc. I was amazed at the amount of people in fancy dress.
If you are in a large party I would advise phoning ahead to get added to the guest list, you still have to pay to get in but you can jump the queue to get in.
Advantages: Free admission, accesible for disabled visitors Disadvantages: Only a few machines
Officially known as the Mechanical Memories Museum this is a small museum that enjoys a location right on Brighton's seafront. It is located in an area known as "The Arches" which stretches either side of the pier and the museum lies just to the west of the pier, but very close to it, maybe less than 100 metres away.
The Arches is the name given to the area that occupies the space below the promenade at beach level. Since the promenade is raised above the level of the beach it effectively sits on top of a bridge and "The Arches" are the arches of this bridge that date back to Victorian times. These arches are now prime locations for businesses and are mainly occupied by gift shops and cafes, they are located right on the edge of the beach but they do have the disadvantage that they are not visible from the promenade. Fortunately ...
Advantages: great location, cheap, nice rooms, excellent food Disadvantages: no parking, quite dated
Introduction to the hotel:
The Royal Albion Hotel was built in 1826 and is situated in a fantastic location opposite Brighton pier. It is a three star hotel and has 186 guest rooms offering views of Brightonbeach or the town centre.
My experience of the hotel:
I spent one night in the hotel in January of this year and for a three star hotel I was quite impressed. I and my girlfriend booked a double room for £55 and it was a spacious room with a four poster bed, couch, satellite television, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. When we checked in the hotel staff asked us if we would like to upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi batch for £10, we said no, but were a bit intrigued to find one anyways - they had obviously given our room away and were trying to get the extra £10 out ...

BrightonBeach
“Oh I do love to be beside the seaside!”
What better way to spend a sunny day than by going to the seaside! Brightonbeach has been a popular seaside resort for a number of years, going back to Victorian times! Of course nowadays the bathing suits are a lot smaller and coming to Brighton is not such a novelty. BrightonBeach stretches for 5 and half miles from Hove to Salt Dean, the main central area is between the West Pier and the Place Pier.
I have lived near Brighton for a number of years and have had many different adventures at BrightonBeach I am going to share some of them with you:
Be warned Brightonbeach is not the sandy paradise most people think of when they think sun and sea; it is ...
