...The Beech Hill Hotel occupies a prime position of the eastern bank of Lake Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Inspiring and dramatic, the constantly changing mood of the mountains is reflected in the water of Windermere, Britain's largest lake. Whatever the season, the vista is always beautiful to look at and the glorious countryside a joy to roam in, with plenty to see and do on land as well as on water.
The Beech Hill hotel has 58 bedrooms, each individually decorated with all of the facilities expected in a 3 Star hotel - tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, direct dial phones and colour TV's as well as other thoughtful extras.

Advantages: Full facilities, large comfortable rooms, full breakfast! great service Disadvantages: Expensive?
...The Burnham Beeches Corus Hotel is a traditional Georgian house, situated on Grove Road, Burnham, Buckinghamshire, SL1 8DP, on 10 acres of landscaped gardens. It is 12km to city centre, 24km to London Heathrow, 80km to London Gatwick, and 4km to the nearest station (Burnham). I happened to spend a night here in February prior to an assessment centre with Mars, and found it such a lovely experience.
+ The room that I stayed in was a double room: very large and comfortably decorated, with full facilities such as:
Ensuite (all rooms have ensuite)
Television (including satellite)
Radio
Direct dial phone
Hairdryer
Trouser press
Automatic wake-up call
Voltage 240v
Kettle
+ It was much larger than the average Travel Lodge or Holiday Inn, and more traditionally decorated - which can be a good or bad thing for some...

Advantages: Can benefit from £15 rates, great central location Disadvantages: Noisy main road right outside hotel, no free car park.
...Travelodge are the fastest growing budget hotel chain with over 320 hotels in the UK, Ireland and Spain. For as long as I can remember Travelodge have offered comfortable accommodation for an overnight stay.
Prices start from just £15 per room which is ideal, the prices are low because the offer a basic standard of accommodation consisting of a bed, tv, cofee and tea facilities and ensuite facilities. Unlike other hotels Travelodge do not provide complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer or iron so basic accommodation is all you can expect from Travelodge Hotels and for the purpose of this stay that was all we needed.
As we were attending a wedding in Norwich we knew we needed somewhere to stay and as we were on a tight budget I looked up the Travelodge to find the nearest one to the venue and the result was provided of 2 within a 15...
