The décor is utilitarian and sports a magnificent vista of the Albert Dock through a glass facade. It is especially picturesque at night when the surrounding sandstone dock structures are illuminated. The overall ambience generated beautifully compliments the cuisine served. This is predominantly contemporary-modern English but there are other influences including Thai, Spanish, Moroccan and Italian.

Advantages: excellent atmosphere, beautiful building Disadvantages: basic food
...I agree with many of the sentiments expressed by Uncle Stu but not all.
Primarily Blue is the bar of the moment although in recent weeks it may be that numbers are slightly on the wane. It is a friendly spot and super-trendy and is a mighty fine spot to spot celebs and celeb spotters. The eye-candy is recommended for all, introductions are aided by a bathroom which has a unisex wash and brush up area.
I have eaten there a few times and must say ... ...The fayre is pedominantely from the grill which doesn't really suit my preferences with mixed Tapas for openers. Unfortunately I cannot recommend anything in particular as I have not yet been impressed.
I probably will return to Blue and eat in the restaurant but with the intention of having a good night out rather than an outstanding gastronomic experience. ...

The BlueBar was the first night spot to open up in Liverpool's trendy Albert Dock. The décor inside is a mixture of exposed brickwork arches that are the legacy of the Albert Dock and beech, glass and stainless steel which form the backbone of any trendy interior. The rear half of the bar looks out through a glass façade onto the Albert Dock itself and offers an impressive vista for a civilised drink. For those pleasant summer evenings there is also some limited seating available outside.
Upstairs is the BlueBar and Grill restaurant which I have reviewed elsewhere but should be paid a visit to. There's an interesting touch as far as the toilets are concerned. Although the toilets are separate, the washroom is unisex.
This is an upmarket bar and as such is frequented by many celebrities such as the cast from Brookside, Hollyoaks ...

Premier Travel Inn is the result of a recent merger between the Premier Lodge and Travel Inn hotel chains.
My partner and I were looking for a hotel in Liverpool city centre, close to the bars and attractions. Having made a reservation for dinner at BlueBar & Grill in the Albert Dock, we made enquiries and were delighted to find that this hotel was only a few steps from the restaurant, and was available at a very reasonable nightly rate (approx. £50 per room per night).
On arrival, we were greeted with Beatles music being played from the dock area downstairs, immediately reminding us of our location and creating a good atmosphere. The hotel reception was clean and the staff friendly and helpful.
On-site facilities include a bar, restaurant and room service provision.
Our room was spacious and comfortable ...
Used to be known as the Blue Boar, now taken over by the Ha Ha chain. Ha Ha bars are known as 'casual dining restaurants'. The chefs cooks on a sizzling open grill and all the food i saw coming out of the kitchen looked great.
I had soup which was obviously home made and delicious. I then had the homemade fishfingers which were also great tasting. The menu was extensive but well cooked and we wernt rushed to finish our starters.
The food is beautifully presented and the decor is comfortable and stylish. Ha Ha pride themselves on using fresh, high-quality produce, sourced from British suppliers. The prices are very reasonable with special lunch time offers at £6.95. Drinks are also relatively cheap in comparison with other bars in the area.
There are 24 ha ha restaurants across the country but it really doesnt feel like a chain ...
