The Blue Bar and Grill is situated in the trendy Albert Dock complex. The restaurant itself is set above the Blue Bar, which is one of Liverpool's trendiest pubs regularly frequented by stars from Brookside, Hollyoaks and Liverpool Football Club.
The décor is utilitarian and sports a magnificent vista of the Albert Dock through a glass facade. It is especially picturesque at night when the surrounding sandstone dock structures are illuminated. The overall ambience generated beautifully compliments the cuisine served. This is predominantly contemporary-modern English but there are other influences including Thai, Spanish, Moroccan and Italian.
Overall, the food is fantastic. The prices are reasonable, the service is impeccable and there is a good wine menu. Don't forget to leave yourself enough room for dessert because they are to die for.
