As a co-owner of The Bountiful Cow with my wife, Roxy Beaujolais (she's executive chef), I'm very pleased about Shona's appreciation of what The Bountiful Cow set out to do in its early days. She makes only one real mistake: she failed to notice the disabled lavatory on the ground floor (to the left of the bar), which means there's no need for someone in a wheelchair to worry about getting to the loos downstairs. About the other loos (I suppose she ... ...alone when we radically altered the rest of the pub, trying to create a funky modern "public house devoted to beef" from the grim '60s survivor it had previously been. We got round to the loos in Dec 07, and since then they have been salubrious. (In the ladies' loo we're particularly thrilled with the cantilevered marble vanity slab, basins and trimmings.)
We now do offer a limited number of vegetarian dishes, but the emphasis remains on great beef ...
