The Brewmaster seems like an average, perfectly pleasant pub in the heart of London, with wooden floors, lots of room, and clean, well maintained loos. Until ten o’clock, that is, when the infamous ‘tape’ comes on (well, infamous according to the naval officer who introduced me to the place). The unwitting punter is bombarded with an incredible selection of cheesy classics, of the sort usually heard at university bops – they range over five decades, from Frank Sinatra through Abba and Wham to more contemporary pop delights. If you’re slightly drunk and have no musical pretensions, this is the perfect night out.

Do you mind!
I was employed at the Brewmaster at the time of your visit, and I flirted copiously...
And by the way we did serve food up until 9 pm and the tape came on at 9.10 not at 10 pm.
In closing, if you thought that the music was not too loud you must have been in the upstairs bar!

OK op but you don't really say much about the pub itself and it does sell food.
