Whilst in London over the weekend, my Dad, who is obsessed with pubs, took me to Brewmaster in Leicester Square for a quick beer to break up our busy day. He told me he had been before although my younger brother had been with him so they had been turned away. They have a rule of no children in the bar.
Brewmaster is located next door to the entrance to LeicesterSquare tube station. It is a friendly pub with a bar on the ground floor as well as a further one upstairs. It serves a selection of beers wines and spirits as well as food.
We entered the pub to find a traditional looking bar with a nice relaxed atmosphere. We were greeted by two very friendly barmaids and dad ordered a pint of London Pride for himself and a diet coke for me. He was served quickly and efficiently with a smile.
We sat down and I decided to order some food. I took a look through the menu which served a variety of sandwhiches, light snacks and meals, and choose a chicken fajita wrap.
I went to the bar and was served immediately again, and with a nice smile. I ordered my wrap, paid (about £3.50), pointed out my table and was told it would be with me shortly. It was.
It was just as described on the menu, and it was delicious. It was served with a generous side salad and looked gorgeous. When I had finished, the barmaid came over to take my plate and ask if I had enjoyed the food. I told her I had.
We used the bathroom before we left, which was found at the top of the stairs. It was clean and pleasant and there wasn't really much to comment on about it.
I enjoyed my experience of this pub so much that Dad and I decided to go back two days later for lunch. We were greeted by the same staff as before, again with a very friendly welcoming smile.
This time Dad and I both had the chicken fajita wrap, but with chips instead of salad. This cost £1 more and we got a generous portion of seasoned chunky chips that was well worth the extra money. We had another lovely meal.
There was music playing in the bar which was quite quiet and didn't hamper having a quiet conversation. It helped to provide a welcoming atmosphere and everyone who was there seemed to enjoy it.
The other customers in the pub seemed quite varied, from american tourists having dinner, to business men calling in for a quick lunch, to a group of men who seemed to be settling in for an afternoon drinking session. This seemed to suggest that the pub would be suitable for a wide range of people.
The staff were very friendly and helpful to us and the other customers. The prices were very reasonable. The food was delicious. I would recommend this pub to anyone who is in the Leicester Square area and fancies a drink or some food, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, although children are not allowed in the bar so it is not suitable for families.
**UPDATE**
I was in London again this last weekend, having been to see Alice Cooper. We decided to have a day in the city whilst we were there and again visited the Brewmaster for lunch. We were greeted this time by a man, and he had much the same friendly attitude as the staff mentioned above.
We again chose to have the chicken wraps with chips for dinner and again they were delicious.
I also thought it worth mentioning that they accept plastic which was a blessing as I wasn't carrying any cash. I was offered a tab, but as we weren't staying long anough to warrant more than one drink I declined.
I was again very impressed with the staff, the food, and the atmosphere, and I intend to visit again whenever I get chance to spend a bit of time in the capital.

The chicken wrap and chunky chips certainly sounds appealing. I love Leicester Square in general, so we might well pop in there, next time we visit. Mandy.xx
