Not the BULL HOTEL of my dreams.

Advantages: Located City Centre
Disadvantages: City centre not as good as it was.

When I was a mere lad back in the 1950's the Bull Hotel was looked on in Peterborough as people would think about The Savoy in london. It was a place us "Common" people of Peterborogh were allowed to walk past, but not too close. To hear that someone had been for DINNER at the Bull Hotel put them into the company of Royalty. But that was then when the Population of Peterborough was about 52000 and there was just one main road going through the City. 52000 at a time when the Membership of Peterborough United Football club then in the Midland League was about 30000.Oh what happy days they were. Anyway all comes to those who wait and last year we were attending a family gathering of such vast numbers that all beds in the Fountain Family establishments were taken up, even the lawns of the gardens were fully booked with tents ...

Review of Bull Hotel, Peterborough

Hotel with history.

Advantages: Central to lots of places to visit
Disadvantages: very popular

If you are off to the cotswolds and need a hotel to stay in it is worth looking at The Bull Hotel in Fairford. You cannot miss it! It is situated at the side of Fairford market square. The hotel is over 500 years old with the first record of it being used as a hotel is in the Torrington Diaries where John Byng a judge visited the Bull and awarded it the distinction of being "Good". Years ago it used to be a coaching inn. A couple of years ago when the Bull was getting improvements done to it they found a secret tunnel that led from the hotel to our local Church. When you enter the Hotel you will see locals and visitors drinking together and having a chat which makes it a friendly hotel. But if you are a visitor and staying there you also have your own area for drinks. There is a complete range of Arkells beers (them ...

A bull on Coke

Advantages: Taste, Price, Quality
Disadvantages: ...none

I had read a little bit about Red Bull Cola but had never seen it. Then whilst looking in Wilkinson's saw it for around 45p this was a definite price I was happy to pay. Having gone through a variety of Cokes a few weeks back it now seemed I was on to drinking energy drinks en masse so this sounded like the perfect combination. Red Bull and Coke right? What an amazing idea, one of those concepts that blows your mind on potential...a bit like the Wii which has yet to deliver what it undoubtedly can. Red Bull to those that have been living under a rock has been developed into a massive enterprise including an F1 team. The drink has been a massive success and based on being a high caffine drink with 32mg of it in every 100ml. The clever advertising which sees a poorly drawn animated character spouting wings after drinking it and the tag ...
