The owners are Italian, and the staff where extremely kind and efficient.
They have 34 covers, which is enough inside as not that big and table and chairs outside and people where sat outside enjoying the sunshine.

My daughter, grandson and I visited the Buttercross Tea Rooms in Peterborough Central Park on Thursday.
The Buttercross has been in the park for a few years now, but as I use to live close by never used it as it was easy to go home for a cuppa. It is situated in the very centre of the park and has no competition in the area, even so it is not over priced. It is clean well run by the family and got very busy as it was half term and there where lots of children playing in the park.
We were delighted with what we found and the service there.
The owners are Italian, and the staff where extremely kind and efficient.
They have 34 covers, which is enough inside as not that big and table and chairs outside and people where sat outside enjoying the sunshine.
It was 11-30am and on the busy side, but we were served very quickly and efficiently by the staff. Our order was for 2 sandwiches, 1 cheese and onion with salad and 1 ham, no salad, tea, cappuccino, a bowl of home made carrot and coriander soup (plus and extra bowl to cool the soup for my grandson) and a teddy bear biscuit.
Our tea coffee and biscuit arrived, a few minutes later along came our sandwiches. They are made fresh to order on a choice of white or brown bread, with or without salad. The cheese and onion was a good strong cheese and very tasty. The ham was on white bread and plenty of ham inside, in fact more than I would have used at home.
The soup arrived and the extra bowl, and was very enjoyable, in fact our grandson ate the lot and the bread roll with it.
The cost of this was £2-45 for soup, £2-30 each for the sandwiches, £1-10 for the biscuit, £1-60 for coffee and 90p for the tea, Total £10-65.
We were able to use the toilet inside the tearooms, which is very small, clean and adequate for a little child.
We would strongly recommend this facility to anyone, young or old.
