I recently stayed here on the 6/12/2008 as I was going to the clothes show. I was with my sister and niece. I had a single room and they had a twin. The main body of the hotel is nice as well as the outside. What is not shown on the website is that the rooms aren't up to what is shown on the website. We had nice food and it's a warm hotel. The meals included were lovely and service too. If they would bring the rooms up to standard as shown on the website there wouldn't be a problem. There is also a prefab building at the back of the hotel too for extra rooms. I wondered if I was reading about the same hotel when looking at similar reviews but it is. when we arrived we had to go down a darkened stairway to the hotel in which someone could have fallen down on, only to find a pathway which was much easier with luggage the next morning. I asked for rooms near each other via a holiday company months ago and when we arrived we had rooms at opposite ends of the hotel. It turns out I had a bigger bathroom newley done out for a single person than what my sister had in a twin room for two persons. They had to shower in my room as the shower wasn't that good and the ceiling paint was peeling. When we looked at some brochures the menu in the restaurants didn't change much until new years eve. In my room the trouser press didnt' work at all. I just wanted to iron a top which was creased from the case and wanted to use the trouser press but it didn't work. The price list showed the rooms to be (drumroll) £93 per night and £28 for dinner. It's no way worth that much. I woudn't reccomend staying at this hotel due to the rooms. Bring them up to scratch and it would be a lovely hotel.
