LOCATION
Its in a great location for visiting the rest of the city as its only a five minute walk away from the city centre where there is lots ... ...handful of museums scattered around the town. A recently build pedestrian and cycle bridge was built at the side of the Deep which actually links the aquarium to the old quarter of the city.
However if you dont fancy and are literally just visiting the city for The Deep there is a large car park right outside the building. The car park costs £3 but £2 of this redeemable in the shop or cafe.

FISH AND SHARKS The Deep has over 40 sharks, such as sand tiger sharks and Bonnethead Shark and 3,500 fish,
There are many different sorts of set ups as you walk around. I personally found the Endless Ocean tank the most impressive. It holds 2.5 million litres of water, 87 tonnes of salt. You get lots of different views of this tank as you walk around. The deepest tunnel (10 meters underwater) in Europe also goes under this tank and you can also take the lift back to the end of the display that goes up through the tank or take the stairs where you can also peer in the the tank at each level. I personally found the stairs to be the best option you can take your time and dont have to que forever for the lift.
The Twightlight zone is a fairly new addition to the building and is quite impressive. In here you will see:
-Giant Japanese Spider Crabs -Giant Pacific Octopus -Wolf Eels -Flashlight Fish
Once you have walked round (which i estimate if you are looking and reading everything will take you about 2hours) then you can sit in the cafe or if its a sunny day sit outside on the edge of the river or even have a walk in to town and get some fish and chips!
OVERALL Overall I would defiantly recommend a visit, I have visited many times. Its a great day out and very different to other aquariums I have visited.
