the hotel* The hotel is in Lenham which is a really small village near Maidstone in Kent. It has 53 rooms and is an old grade one listed manor house set in 22 acres of land. The hotel has four stars and has a restaurant called the Culpeper which has been awarded two AA fine dining rosettes. It has a great wine cellar and specialises in a variety of different wines.

I was lucky enough to get two preview tickets for this film, which goes on general release on the 13th February (today!). I went with my son who is eight. My daughter who is 11 refuses to see any film involving animals, as she finds them too sad and feels sorry for the animals being made to 'perform'. So along I went with her younger brother, who has no such scruples!!
The film is a certificate U and centres around two children (brother and sister) who have lost their parents. They have been placed with several foster parents in a short space of time and the film opens, with the children stealing in order to buy dog food for their pet dog Friday who they have managed to keep hidden for 3 years! Synopsis
Sister and brother, Andi and Bruce are in a foster home that doesn?t allow dogs. So they devise a secret way to keep their dog, they decide to use an abandoned hotel. They turn the hotel into a hotel for dogs, where no canine is turned away. With the help of a few other youngsters in the area (Dave, Heather and Mark), they start to collect up all the strays in the area. Of course the dogs don?t stay quiet and soon the neighbours and the local pound start to wonder what is happening in the hotel.
