Chilston Park Hotel

Advantages: Beautiful, lovely food, romantic, intimate.
Disadvantages: Inadequate service.

the hotel* The hotel is in Lenham which is a really small village near Maidstone in Kent. It has 53 rooms and is an old grade one listed manor house set in 22 acres of land. The hotel has four stars and has a restaurant called the Culpeper which has been awarded two AA fine dining rosettes. It has a great wine cellar and specialises in a variety of different wines. *First Impressions* The hotel is fairly easy to find. Hotel for Dogs - Ssshhhhhh! Please Don't Tell My Dog Pippa!

Advantages: Good family fun - plenty of cute moments!!
Disadvantages: Stunts a bit hard to believe - even for kids!!

Hotel for Dogs ***What's it about?*** I was lucky enough to get two preview tickets for this film, which goes on general release on the 13th February (today!). I went with my son who is eight. My daughter who is 11 refuses to see any film involving animals, as she finds them too sad and feels sorry for the animals being made to 'perform'. So along I went with her younger brother, who has no such scruples!! The film is a certificate U and centres around two children (brother and sister) who have lost their parents. They have been placed with several foster parents in a short space of time and the film opens, with the children stealing in order to buy dog food for their pet dog Friday who they have managed to keep hidden for 3 years! (as no pets have been allowed wherever they have been placed). It stars Emma Roberts (not sure what ...
