Advantages: Diverse range of cuisines. Very hygienic. Disadvantages: Pricey especially compared with Malaysia and Indonesia
....The Malay food in the Island Republic is an eclectic blend combining the cooking methods of the Thais, the Malaysians and the Indonesians. Must try dishes include Satay,Beef rendang,Mee goreng and Nasi padang.Indian food is widely available but head to "Little Inia" for the best curries in town. Then there is Nonya (or Peranakan)foodwhich combines Chinese,Malay and other influences into its very own unique blend. Try Otak-otak, Buak keluak and the Nonya cakes.
