I don't know where to start with this hotel. The hotel was amazing, every need was catered for.
Lets start from the outside..... it looks fantastic. A change from the usual high rise buildings in dubai. It looks like your very own castle. The outside is decorated with very fine marble which fits in perfectly. I was impressed from the moment we pulled up in our taxi. The lobby area is all marble and you're greeted by exceptionally friendly porters/greeters. They do everything for you, open the door, take you're luggage, makes you feel very important. Whenever you step out the hotel the porters are always there and get you a taxi straight away. They take a real interest in where you're going, and what you have planned for the day. What impressed me the most was how they remember where you've been and on your return are always eager to find out how the day went. They always remembered our names and always had a smile on their faces.
When you walk into the hotel you will be amazed by what you see, the entrance lobby is so different to what ive seen before. It's very elegant and contempary. The whole hotel is decorated with white marble floors which makes it so light and airy. The lifts run through the central column of the hotel. the glass lifts give you a perfect view of the restaurant in the middle.
The lighting in the hotel is very impressive, theres very tasteful changing lights in the hotel as well as on the outside which light up beautifully in the evening.
originally we were booked into two double rooms, however when we arrived they upgraded us to a family room for free. The room was very spacious. it was just like a apartment. it consisted of a lounge area, dining area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms all coming off a main lobby area. There were tvs in every room, a tea and coffee bar, mini bar, alarm clock, internet access and a fully equiped bathroom. The tv was even connected to speakers in the bathroom. There was also a office area if your out on business. The cleaning maids were very good, they clean twice a day. Everything in the room was left spotless..... very impressive.
This is a great 5* luxury hotel, got all amenities... pool, jacuzzi, gym, many restaurants inc sushi bar, jewellery shop and florist along with many more. The little touches make a real difference, little things like giving cold scented towels by the poolside (scent is different everyday).
If you're looking for a top class hotel, the fairmont is for you. you will be pampered.
