I've stayed twice at the Feathers Hotel in Mount Pleasant in Liverpool and rate it as a good hotel in the medium price range.We paid 38 pounds for a double room on my last stay ,that was the rack rate for bed and breakfast. The bedroom was comfortable although to be frank not very big,it was well equipped with a toilet and shower en suite.It was nicely furnished and there was satellite TV and IDD facilities. The Feathers is a comfortable hotel,there is a snug bar downstairs where my husband departed for one evening,and the reception area is neat and tidy. Where I think the Feathers is really outstanding is their breakfasts. England generally is a good country to have a hearty breakfast in but the Feathers is well absolutely outstanding. I think the two breakfasts I had their on my last trip were the best I have had in any hotel.Another plus point is location-the Feathers is within walking distance of the town centre,is very near the University,and just round the corner from Hardman Street where there are a lot of good restaurants.
