Someone once pointed out the Free Trade to me from newcastle's quayside. I said that I could see it, but I couldnt. The reason was it just looks like a fairly neglected house.

But...
It has a superb selection of drink , including a very good pint of Guinness , and the staff are extremely friendly and they dont usually charge ... ...free vinyl one up til the end of 2000, but now they've gone all modern and charge for their shiny new CD one.. still it was good while it lasted and the new jukebox has a good selection of music.
You also get a great view of the river Tyne and the Tyne bridge from the big window.
An excellent pub, make an effort to find it as its easy to miss ...
