The Fridge is down in Brixton which isn't the loveliest neck of the woods but then you have to make an effort to avoid the tourist traps and victims of hype in London. I've never had any problems that I haven't asked for.
The fridge used to be a cinema and the structure of the building hasn't changed much. They're slowly spending money on it. ... ...The painted luminous banners remind me very much of the Drome in London Bridge and you can certainly buy all the extra bits and bobs at a stall upstairs to make sure your extremities glow in the dark.
The toilets are not the best feature although the drugs warning makes for some light entertainment whilst relieving yourself. The bar is not much to write home about either but it does the job. There is a nice little cafe tucked away around the corner ...

Advantages: good music, plenty of space Disadvantages: very expensive soft drinks
...is best to stay till the club shuts at 6.00 and public transport returns. If you can make it to the end it is generally worth it as the music gets better and better as the night goes on.
There is plenty of space and lots of different rooms if you fancy a bit of a break from dancing. Everyone is very friendly and there is a real mixture of people. One downside is the cost of the soft drinks how they justify a coke being more expensive than a diet ...

Advantages: Atmosphere, Music Disadvantages: Cost of Coat Check and some drinks
...Music is great from the likes of Jo Public et al. Atmosphere is brilliant along with the lights and stage show with the indomitable Yvette as mistress of ceromonies.
A large venue with two floors inlcuding a much quieter cafe bar at the back. Everybody seems to go here for a good time - there are no hangups about sexuality or behaviour - all kinds are gere - straight - gay - lesbian - transexuals and drag queens.
If you are relaxes in your attitude ...

Advantages: Very Busy, Friendly atmostphere and people Disadvantages: Greatly Over Priced
...really only suit those in the clubbing scene. It's situated in the heart of Londons vibrant and busy area of Brixton. It's open til 6am and everyone's really friendly I got chatting to people very easily in the cafe they have open throughout the night. As it is in London it is V.expensive and will set you back a hefty £13, but if you have an NUS/Student card and you get in before 11 you can get away with paying £8. Unfortunatly with most night club ... ...it has two floors. On the ground floor there is a large dance floor with an equally big bar. Upstairs you will find various stalls where you can buy glow in the dark neclaces and glow sticks, there's also a bar there.
It will definately be a night to remember if you like that sort of music and clubbing culture. Shame about the prices ...

Advantages: Music non commercial, dance floor good size, doormen friendly Disadvantages: drinks extortionate, if you are English you will be outnumbered, location
...to "Contrast" (the name of the specific event) at the Fridge in Brixton on Saturday 29th December. Dance floor quite roomy, there were a small selection of seating areas around the bar area, didnt have to queue long for a drink and the sound system and lights were average. Was a bit rough looking inside and could do with a bit of "perking up". The toilets were like the ones in a prison cell (not that I would know lol!) - very dreary and depressing ... ...had no problems there. The music started off OK and then got quite good but then they decided to play some happy hardcore rubbish in the middle which no-one seemed to know how to dance to because they just couldnt get into it, they then played some trance at the end and this was when it really got going albeit the music was not very up to date. The main downside to this night out was that we were virtually the only English people in the place as ...
