...We thought that Halifax was simply going to be a convenient base for our Nova Scotia holiday, how wrong we were. Halifax is a great place, a city which is obviously growing fast. It is lively and has a great waterfront area and a number of seafood restaurants. Our favourite was Salty's and yes, we got the TShirts. We spent an afternoon on a schooner in the harbour. Other places worth visiting are the excellent maritime museum and the citadel.
We stayed at the Delta where we got a cheap deal. We love Delta hotels, you can usually extract cheap room deals on the day.
Nova Scotia is lovely, and Halifax is an excellent gateway. You can get direct flights from London with Iceland Air....

...The Piccadilly Line and Northern Line, a nusiance? a necessity? a required inconvenience? All of the above?
Whatever you make of these lines they are undoubtly the most used lines in London. A gateway for the young to the most lively area of London, Leceister Square. A haven for street artists, pub go-ers and clubers alike.
Whats my point I here you ask? Not much, just a note. I congratulate the London underground on the upkeep of these lines. Although busy they are rarely subject to litter and I have never born witness to any crime. One point though please do something about the smell!!...

...This is a wonderful hotel situated in the heart of Mayfair. It is a five-star hotel that backs onto Park Lane. The bedrooms are very comfortable and large in size. When I stayed there for the new year the service was friendly and the food was excellent. Although it is expensive to stay here it is thoroughly worth the money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in the West-end of London not far from Bond Street and Oxford Street. It is a good hotel to stay in for short shopping trips or for anyone going to London to see a show....
