My partner and i were recently in london for the weekend so i looked up expedia to see which hotels we could stay in and i decided on the melia whitehouse as i thought it looked nice and was in a medium price range.
The hotel is conveniently located as it is only about 3-5 minutes walk from the great portland street tube station which means that it is easy to get to other parts of london from the hotel. Also it is not far from regents park and london zoo is a 30 minute walk. We also walked to the camden market as it was only about 10-15 minutes walk from london zoo. We also found that the hotel was easy to get to from heathrow airport as you can take the tube and you 0only have to make one change of tube line.
When we arrived at the hotel it looked exactly like it did on the website with the reception area looking grand ...
Advantages: Very near the airport. Disadvantages: none
I stayed at the holiday Inn Gatwick with my family before and after flying out to the caribbean. It was clean and friendly and even the kids enjoyed it. The rooms were quite spacious with tea and coffe facilities. I even called reception as there was only one hot chocolate between the 2 children, and they were at our room within minutes with more sachets and packets of biscuits. We ate an evening meal there too and it wasn't too badly priced! We got up early the next morning and had a swim before catching our longhaul flight, which used up a bit of energy so the kids weren't too restless on the plane. All in all we loved it and would definitely stay again. ...

I am writing to tell you about my most recent stay at the Gatwick Moat HouseHotel on the night of the 7th August 2003. I paid £104.00 to stay one night bed, breakfast and evening meal at this hotel and feel let down by the whole experience. (You pay per room not per person and there were two of us staying for that price. To understand why I am not happy then you should read on. I have had a rough time with hotels and other holiday travel plans lately and this is just another one to add to the quickly growing list.
The Gatwick Moat House is advertised as a three Star hotel (and even four Star on some websites), but its décor is shabby, and many of the features you expect to experience, such as air conditioning though out the building, are not present. This hotel does however offer seven meeting rooms as ...
