And you can't really complain... it really is a great hotel, with above and beyond service and of course you have all the history of the building. It's located almost on top of Waveley Station, and they will provide a meet & greet service, so you don't have to carry your bags up the small ramp either! Of course price is always the thing, but if you can pick a quiet time of the year (Not August) and also find an agent online, you may be able to get a good rate. Worth a look even if you're not staying there, but for character, this hotel wins hands down... It's part of a huge chain, which has helped it keep it's character.

i have been rather over generous in my rating because i would feel so mean giving it a somewhat helpful! but it really does need some more detail and info and stuff. Em x

I think you may have this mixed up with the Balmoral as the George Hotel is in George Street and the Balmoral hotel is right above the station. How much does etc cost etc?
