Myself and my brother visit ambleside three times a year or so and we have always meant to eat at the glass house so we finally did Wish we hadn't bothered, Service was very good although the food came so fast it must have been already ready on the hot plate.Certainly it came rather dry and stringy ( my duck confit) and my borthers vegtable tart was bland. A rather pretenstious atmosphere, but perhaps One is spoiled by London resteraunts. and really expensive for what we got. Lucies kitchen is far better!!! There is a big thing on the bakc of his menu about how Gordon ramsey did kitchen knightmares there well Gordon yo may have injected some class for a short time but a mediocre chef remains the same!!!
