There is some tasty food to boot, like chips and nachos, as well as larger meals like balti and curry to help get you through the night. If you like stand-up, then this is the place for you, with a minimum of 3 acts per night, the best in the country, with acts such as Jasper Carrott and Jack Dee having visited in the past. The prices are reasonable (especially for students), with superb beer deals (good prices on pitchers). There is some tasty food to boot, like chips and nachos, as well as larger meals like balti and curry to help get you through the night. The interior is comfortable with chairs and tables, and excellent jazzy music between comedians. The Glee Club offers the complete night out, and I guarantee you will have the time of your life while you’re there.

The GleeClub is situated in the centre of Birmingham's bustling city centre off Hurst Street in the Aracdian complex in the heart of Chinatown. Only five minutes from the train station (New Street) and about the same again from the majority of the bus stops.
It is seperated into two parts, downstairs is the the Lounge bar (which is always busy) and upstairs, the comedy club. The club itself is split into two, the Main room and the Studio.
The Studio is a 150-seat 'ampitheatre'-style room where you can get very close to the performers. The stage is a bit rickety, it's very dark, the bar staff rush to put your drinks orders together and it is unfortunately dominated by two pillars in the middle of the seating which can block your view if you get in late. Seating in the Studio is not allocated so get there early.

, the Spanish Zara, Jane Norman, Office shoes, a HUGE H&M, the famous Selfridges, and many, many more, including numerous jewellery shops and restaurants (Eat and Café Rouge, (which has to be tried to be believed)). The HIGH STREET shopping in Birmingham is also brilliant, (if the Bullring and The Mail Box weren?t enough); the high street offers indoor malls including The Palisades and the Pavilions which all contain another lot of shops.
NIGHT LIFE
Birmingham has a lot to offer night life wise, there?s Broad Street, or the Arcadian.

Advantages: It's in the centre of England Disadvantages: It's full of Brummies
outside so you can get back easily once you?ve strutted your thang. It is open on Wednesday and Thursday until 2am. Admission is £6 but you may be able to pick up flyers in the area on Wednesday to reduce this price. Liberty?s also has a piano bar and restaurant, with a full menu at around £25 per head. It?s open from 8.30pm until 1am, bookings in advance are essential.
If getting hot and sweaty on the dance floor is not your groove, but jazz (?nice!) is try Ronnie Scott?s on Broad Street (0121 643 4525), Great! Tuesday and Wednesday night see King Pleasure and Biscuit Boys making an
appearance while on Thursday the Monty Alexander Trio plays. Prices for both nights are £15.50, with a special three course meal deal costs £39.45.
