Grange St. Paul's is an amazing hotel!

Advantages: Amazing, all round
Disadvantages: None!

This hotel is undoubtedly the best I have ever stayed in. Here's why... We booked this hotel as a top secret hotel through lastminute.com, paying £86 for the room for the night of Saturday 26th Septmeber 2009. For anyone who isn't familiar with lastminute's top secret system you basically get a star rating and description, but not the name of the hotel before you book. However, for London hotels if you put the description into Google you can easily find out which one matches the description, so we knew what we were getting before we booked. We arrived by Tube from King's Cross station to St. Paul's Underground station. From here the hotel is fairly easy to find. Just follow the signs for the cathdral then look for Godliman Street on the other side of the cathedral and you can't miss it. The transport links to the hotel are good ...

Review of Grange St Paul's Hotel, London

It's Bury St Edmunds, not Edmonds

Advantages: Ancient,historic,fun
Disadvantages: youngsters complain it's boring, but when didn't they?

. ~~~ The town has its own Leisure Centre situated only a fifteen minute walk from the town centre, and several beauty salons and hairdressers. There is a Fitness First Gym near to the railway station, a ten-minute walk from the centre. The Public Library is opposite the Bus Station, which is next to where I work, and again, only minutes away from the centre of town. The buses to outlying villages are fairly frequent, though there are not many services out of the town after 6pm. There is a bus connection direct to Stanstead. The town has a vast choice of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs to suit all budgets. ~~~ I have tried to keep this review concentrated on the town of Bury St Edmunds itself, but there is an abundance of interesting places to visit in the outlying areas, including historical houses, castles and gardens, working windmills ...

Review of Bury St Edmonds in General

The Angel of the South

Advantages: Reasonably priced, centrally located, spacious rooms, historical interest
Disadvantages: None

A few weeks ago I had to go to Bury St.Edmunds on business over a three day period. My first question on being told this news was "Where the bloody hell is Bury St. Edmunds?" Now, being a lad from Manchester I thought the only Bury was situated in Lancashire and was famous for its black puddings. However, as I gladly found out, there is a lovely market town in the heart of Suffolk (that's near Ipswich, Newmarket and Cambridge if you didn't know) which shares part of its name with its Lancashire counterpart and that is where I was to visit. ****** So having found out where you were going, why did you decide to stay at The Angel ****** The two main criteria which I tend to adopt when visiting a hotel for the first time is that it has to be a reasonable standard (at least 3 star) and that its location is central and easily ...
