Advantages: good beer, friendly bar staff, decent food. Disadvantages: on a very busy road - be careful if you have had a few!
Aaah, the Grove - probably the finest pub in Lenton, wood panelling; good beer; friendly bar staff etc, etc. A good mix of students and locals, with students usually in the majority (well, this is Lenton). Good proper beer - try the Theakstons or the Bombadier. Decent food - try the nachos or the chicken wraps, nice chips too - especially when topped with cheese and bacon!
Other good things about the Grove:
2 big pool tables ... ...a 4 pint jug for the price of 3 pints, etc
what more could you want in a pub? Recommended.
If you like the Grove, you may also like:
The Salutation (in town).
The Trip to Jerusalem. (in town, below the 'castle').
and you probably won't like:
The Bag of Nails. (in Lenton).
Yates Wine Bar. (in town).
