Probably considered to be one of the best hotels - if not, the bes hotel - in Europe.
It's modern contemporary style boasts pure elegance from the moment you step inside, particularly on entry to the first floor reception, which steps out onto a beautiful lawn, overlooking the sea, under the shadow of a large copper moument, which I do believe represents a fish.
The hotel rooms come with all the latest mod-cons and electonic gadgetary, from Bang and Olufsen music centres and televisions, to the electronically controlled blinds.
I was fortunate enough to stay in a suite on the 18th floor, with grand views across Barcelona from the harbour up towards the mountains in the distance. The benefit of the hotel is that whether you have a sea view or city view, both are stunning and you cannot be disappointed if you have not been given the choice.
