Advantages: Small easy to carry in your pocket or travel bag/wash bag Disadvantages: Not any better than manual dental aids, expensive accessory replacements.
I bought this item in Boots abut 1 year ago as it was relatively inexpensive at the time. I payed £3.99 I think.
What originaly attracted me to the device was the angular shaped floss heads. I bought a packet of these years ago and I found them very useful for knocking lumps of plaque off my teeth. They were a basic hand held device that reached in to akward angles of the mouth to floss unreachable corners of the teeth and gums. I had hoped this little electronic driven version would do the same but sadly that was not the case. The oral B hummingbird is about 3 inches long and the floss head slots on easily to the top. When you press the button the head vibrates. The problem with the oral B is the head simply comes unstuck from the handle when it encounters any difficulty in vibrating, thus leaving me gagging or with the head stuck ...
Advantages: very playable Disadvantages: short sustain
The Epipiphone Hummingbird is my first Acoustic guitar i have not stolen off my dad. £300 is not a bad deal, seeing as the Gibson acoustics are all around £3000.
The looks and finish of this guitar are very nice, i enjoy graphics on my guitar as long as they arent too loud, and this 'mockingbird' illustration is just plain pleasent. The shape of the guitar is perfect so that it can sit on your lap for hours and not ache, partly due to its incredibly light weight.
The playability is pretty much perfect, the best you can get for a £300 acoustic, and times I thought I was playing an electric, the fretboard was just so slim, the strings were at perfect distance from the fretboard.
The sound is not as good as the playability I must admit, probably because of the lightweight body, it is not hard enough to sustain the notes for a very long ...
Advantages: nice seaside destination Disadvantages: very busy in the summer holidays
I've been to Scarborough a couple of times with friends and enjoyed the time I spent there. It's a stereotypical British seaside resort, complete with donkey rides on the beach. I think it's a great place to visit for a day, maybe two, but I wouldn't want to spend the week there.
~ The Beaches ~
Scarborough has two bays, the north and south. Both of these have long, sandy beaches perfect for sandcastles, paddling, sunbathing and everything else you'd expect of a beach. If you go on the weekend in the middle of summer though you can expect these beaches to be packed. The north beach tends to be quieter, but that might be because there's less there.
You'll find a couple of little shops selling ice creams and bucket and spades, but not a lot else at the north bay. If you want a beach with more room to spread out for a game ...
