I stayed in this hotel in August 2005. It is literally part of the harbour wall and if you have a sea facing room there are great views across the harbour towards Falmouth.
Apart from the view, the rooms have little to commend them. They are really small - just space to walk around the bed and with a small TV on a holder on the wall bexause there is no room for it elsewhere. The bathrooms are adequate with the usual selection of toiletries.
This is not a hotel to go to if you want to spend time in your room! However you will want to spend time in the restaurant. The food is excellent - beautifully prepared and presented and again with a wonderful view across the bay.
The hotel also has a terrace where it serves drinks and cream teas - a lovely sunny spot (English weather permitting) to relax and enjoy the view.
You need to be aware the hotel has no parking. This is not a problem as there is a public car park about 5 minutes wlak away and even over a sunny August bank holiday we were always able to get a space. The cost of parking is extra and is not refunded by the hotel.
The staff are excellent - really friendly and helpful.
All in all a great base to explore Cornwall with excellent views, food and staff.

The rooms appear simply furnished, spotlessly clean with basic facilities The bathroom ... ...The food is excellent - beautifully prepared and presented although one must expect to pay accordingly !
The hotel has no parking on site however, it is a simple job to park at the well lit public car park about 100 yards away. Other than the cost of about £3 per day, we did not perceive this a problem.
A slight dissapointment was there was no separate bar from the bar located in the brasserie. A separate bar would have been a nice place to meet ...
