Idle Rocks

Advantages: Great views, great food, excellent service
Disadvantages: rooms very cramped

...It is literally part of the harbour wall and if you have a sea facing room there are great views across the harbour towards Falmouth.

Apart from the view, the rooms have little to commend them. They are really small - just space to walk around the bed and with a small TV on a holder on the wall bexause there is no room for it elsewhere. The bathrooms are adequate with the usual selection of toiletries.

...want to spend time in the restaurant. The food is excellent - beautifully prepared and presented and again with a wonderful view across the bay.

The hotel also has a terrace where it serves drinks and cream teas - a lovely sunny spot (English weather permitting) to relax and enjoy the view.

You need to be aware the hotel has no parking. This is not a problem as there is a public car park about 5 minutes wlak away and ... more

The hotel is located within the village with easy access to it's super pubs, small shops and restaurants. ...The food is excellent - beautifully prepared and presented although one must expect to pay accordingly ! The hotel has no parking on site however, it is a simple job to park at the well lit public car park about 100 yards away. Other than the cost of about £3 per day, we did not perceive this a problem. A slight dissapointment was there was no separate bar from the bar located in the brasserie. A separate bar would have been a nice place to meet ...
