I used to go to Barcelona at least four times a year but just lately I've not been going as often as I'd like to and I was well overdue to visit my colleagues there when I rolled into town earlier this week. I watched this film on the recommendation of a friend, and I was a little apprehensive because my friend's and my own tastes in films, music etc. doesn't always coincide, but when she told me this was about delving into the history of a deeply dysfunctional family, I decided to give it a watch - at the time I was going through some counselling myself, dealing with a few of my own childhood issues, and I thought it may be something I could perhaps identify with.
