The food at the Irish Rover is undoubtedly one of the main strong points, and the choice on offer is good (although vegetarians may struggle). The price is also great, with a set Menu (from choice of 3 starters and 3 mains) costs only 1300 ptas (around 5 pound) per head. The bar also contains ... Read review
Advantages: Good food, Large terrace, good choice of drinks, Internet PC Disadvantages: Price, Location
Located 5 minutes from the impressive Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the Irish Rover is considered to far out by many to be included as a regular part of a night out. However, mid afternoon, and the Irish pub is packed out, playing host to many diners from the nearby business sectors.

The night scene is normally more packed come summer, when the massive terrace, shared with Moby Dicks, becomes a meeting point for groups of revellers. The Irish Rover also features live music often.

Set to the decor of an Irish street, with market, barbers, etc, the pub actually houses a small Irish Market shop where goods can be bought. An Internet ready PC is also available for the customers, for free, although sometimes the waiting list can be quite tedious.
As with other Irish bars, the only real setback is the price, but for people looking to settle in one bar for the evening, or people who are living / staying nearby, this is an ideal hang-out.
Advantages: Great Party Atmospere, Great Guinness, Great Time Disadvantages: Not for Your "Horlicks, Pipe and Sliper folk
Every New Years eve i throw a party for all the family and close friends.
We fill the table up with buttys and make sure the patio is full of beer and wine, keeping chilled as there is no room in the fridge. Afetr about 23.00, everyone is getting in the party mood and i start my party piece...i play the DJ..as i have been bang into my music since i was 4.
Nothing gets the party started more than a few of the oldies...you know...a bit of Frank and Deano, and then by around the 1.30 mark everyone is hooked on my Irish section....if you dont start dancing to The IrishRover....your probably dead. And i always stick good old Molly Malone on as well.....you must know the track...it starts off...In Dublin Fair City...
It was no wonder that for my 20th wedding anaversery last May, i invited two friends of ours to share it with us and make ...

with belly dancers and stuff. Voted No. 1 dinner show but I dont rate it. I prefer Fort liberty!
Atlantic Bay seafood Grill
Great seafood at a decent price. Its on Parkway Blvd which is easy to find. Tyr it if you like your fresh seafood.
Longhorn Steakhouse.
I think they do the best steaks and you eat in the open air! ITs on the Bronson Highway and again well signposted. Reasonably priced too.
Rovers Return Pub.
For you homesick people! However its an Irish bar and located in the town at Vine stret. Food but mainly a drinking hole.
PEOPLE!
The locals are all friendly and more than happy to point you in the right direction. Most of them work in the hospitality industry and will no doubt treat you with respect as you are their bread and butter!
Overall.

, something we found out after suddenly finding ourselves driving down the high street, and confronting disgruntled tv people who were trying to set up a shot.
** The Roads**
Being that we like to be independent on holiday, we always take our own car on holiday with us. The car that we had at this time was a Rover 820, big, comfortable and a surprising problem on the Irish Roads. Because it was big. The journey across MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, (a heartbreakingly beautiful ridge that rises to over 1,000 metres at Carrantuohill) was a thrilling experience, just as long as being half scared to death is considered thrilling. Some of the corners rise steeply and are very tight, especially so when being challenged for space by a coach coming down the other way.
The actual road surface for much of the roads in Ireland is pretty poor. Uneven ...
