Advantages great location
Disadvantages terrible food, bad customer care, no morals
I was recommended the kitchen when I arrived in Inverness for a holiday with my boyfriend. I had seen this lovely glass resturant when I first got there and thought, yes!
We could only get a table for 6.30 which is a bit early for me, but I thought it was worth eating a little earlier just to experience this resturant. We were welcomed and seated straight away, and I was a wee bit dissapointed we didnt make it upstairs to take advantage of the view of the river. It started to go dowhill when I noticed a big puddle of water on the table. The roof was leaking it seemed, and it started to splash down onto my dress. I told the waitress who was was foreign and actually didnt understanfd my accent (glaswegian) that the table was leaking. She looked at me as if something was growing out of my head and walked away! I then told another waitress and pretty much got the same response, not very friendly staff. Eventually the manager came over and asked what was wrong, eh I had just told 2 waitress's! He moved us table at last. Funnily enough a family of four came in and he sat them at the same leaky table, I was shocked!
We ordered from the 2 courses for £10.95 menu, early special. I ordered the potato salad with cheritzo, glazed with something cant really remember. It was finished in 2 mouthfuls! Dry tastless potatoes and a miserable slither of cheritzo. My boyfriend had a feta cheese dish, which was pretty much the same story. Bean burger for my main, again dry tastless rubbish with about 2 beans in it. My boyfriends steak was overcooked and fatty, he couldnt even get his knife through it. Gristle was congregating at the edge of his plate as he had to pick it out.I seen a few people being turned away as it was so busy, funny however that when people that the manager knew came in, they were told "I will get you something mate just hang on a minute" hmmmm not so honest. We made a sharp exit with no tip. This place is overhyped with bad staff and even worse food, try the spanish tapa's place on Castle street, much better
