above called ?Take 2 Chefs? (website www.take2chefs.co.uk). This place is well worth a visit, the proprietors, Susie and Simon are fantastic creative chefs and occasionally run gourmet evenings.
The Langbury is well situated for exploring the local area, either by steam train (the line is 20 miles and runs from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead) or by car. Nearby Minehead is worth a visit - its just a small seaside town, with lots of interesting little shops and restaurants along with a few slot machines and kiss me quick type hats! The Quayside is quite pretty and lovely for a walk to enjoy the sea air. Dunster is also worth a visit with its ancient market place, cobbled street and pretty village buildings. A walk up a steep hill takes you to the castle which is well worth a visit and owned by the National Trust. ...
Advantages: Great family holiday. Disadvantages: Could me more for toddlers to do.
As a child I always went on holiday with my family to a Haven camp, it was called Seaview and was in Weymouth, you may wonder why I?m mentioning it don?t worry I?m not going off topic, you see after 16 years of visiting the camp the main club suffered a terrible fire, the place was gutted and had to be completely rebuilt, we went back for our annual holiday but it just wasn't the same anymore, all the things that we loved and had sentimental value for us were gone. The Minehead camp is closest to where we live and so we took our first ever holiday with a different company. We were amazed at the difference, it was like a whole new world, the camp was like a small city compared to ...
Advantages: All on site and safe for children of all ages Disadvantages: Too many gaming machines and children love flashy lights!
We just spent a fabulous weekend break at butlins in Minehead. Despite the poor weather.. sleet and snow and lots of rain! We found our day non stop :) The children we absolutely shattered every night and we got to spend some time together as a couple too!
There was a range of activities from shows for both adults and children to ten pin bowling (deals available), swimming (total charge ..30p for a locker), the fair (mostly free) and redcoats run clubs (free) to entertain the children giving you time to enjoy a coffee!
We chose Gold accomodation self catering and the appartment was brilliant. It was clean, freshly decorated and had everything you would need for a weekend/ week break. All we had to take was ourselves, food, drink and clothes to wear! The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. We did eat out in pizza hut ...
