Spent 3 days in Las Vegas this August with family at this time of the year it is very hot! A dry dessert heat so need to dress in light casual clothes. Hotels on the strip are very busy all the time so if you want a break from all the action and a quiet swim stay off the strip. We stayed in the Best Western on Paradise Ave this is a budget motel which is about 5 minutes drive off strip. it was fine nice size double rooms over looking the pool area. Each room had a kitchen area with fridge. Hotel ran a free shuttle service to Strip on the hour but it is a small minibus so not always room best to drive to strip and park - Circus Circus has large free car park. Or take the new Monorail but it is not cheap probably why nobody uses it! The strip is everything you can imagine and more a fantasyland stuck in the middle of the Nevada dessert. Best seen at night the last few years has seen the Strip get bigger and brasher. The first thing you realise about the Strip is how long it is, we walked the whole length of it one night and it took us 6 hours from the Mandalay Bay down to the Saraha! Eating is no problem it all depends on what you want as we were a family with 3 hungry teenagers we headed for the large 'eat as much as you like' buffets which all the hotels have. All the buffets offer a large selection of food plus soft drinks, tea & coffee, you go in wait for a table, grab a plate and off you go! Most expensive was Treasure Island at 21 dollars a head this was excellent value, we then tried Excalibur 16 dollars, and finally the Sahara at 11 dollars. I thought all 3 were good value but you tend to get what you pay for. We eat quite early about 6 each night and even though you had to queue there was plenty of space in all of them. We went to Vegas on a Monday and left Thursday and I do feel going mid week is best as it was busy enough and must be mad at weekends. All the hotels have something differant to see and are amazing Circus Circus has a indoor theme park and is open each day from 10.00am until Midnight and a pass for the day was 23 dollars. This hotel though is full of children! I was thinking of staying here and am pleased we did not it's like a big nursery and very crowded. Another place worth visiting is the Car collection at the Imperial Hotel really huge collection of cars very good. All night the crowds go up and down the strip in and out of the malls and hotels, past the mexican guys handing out tickets with girls on, past the neon signs with old favs like Cher and co. The shopping malls are amazing one minute you are in Paris, then Venice, then New York with it's roller coaster, then the Luxor with the Pyramids and on it goes.Las Vegas just keeps growing and you do wonder where it will end new buildings are going up everywhere. Currently there is a huge space where the old Frontier hotel used to be at the top ot the strip and no doubt a new wonder of the world is being planned for this spot. It is a fun place but 3 days there was enough for me I enjoyed it but by then I had had enough of slot machines, walking round shopping centres, and the heat! Also a few years back an attempt was made to turn Vegas into a family resort but I feel this has not really happened so you get all these families wandering around with younger children and there does not seem alot for them to do?
Advantages: got everything Disadvantages: building work
...god. is how to describe the Vegas Strip. This has everything that you could ever possibly want - restaurants, bars, shops and hotels. The views of the strips from the bridges going over the roads are breathtaking - both day and night. We were staying at the Luxor which is at one end of the Strip and it took us about five hours to walk up the Strip and back. The shops are fantastic and will suit every wallet. From Gucci and Fendi to Victoria's Secret ... ...malls - one right at the end and one in Planet Hollywood. the M&M's World shop is out of this world and is four floors of pure M&Ms! There are a few outdoor markets which sell quirky things and the stall owners don't pressure you in to buying anything. The Harley Davidson Cafe is a must as the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Walking up and down is an experience in itself. You can go in to any of the hotels and go shopping or eat. The ...

With that being said, the Las Vegas Strip is truly a sight to behold; some free activities include marveling at the Bellagio fountains, watching the pirate show at TI or just strolling about and gazing at the flashy lights and endless stream of traffic. Advantages: Luxury hotel, superb spa, magnificent rooms Disadvantages: Booking in could have been smoother
contained a shower and WC.
The second room containing the King Bed was an en-suite onto a spa bath and there were seperate showers and WC. There was a large dressing table area and the room also had TV. The view from the room was half overlooking the strip so very flourescent.
All rooms had Telephones and there were 2 x refridgerators. The decor was quite calming and there were flowers when we arrived.
The hotel is massive with loads of slot machines and tables to play on. There was also a good assortment of eateries, including a breakfast diner and a really nice Chinese restaurant (good value).
Most mornings we went to the Spa - $20 for use for the whole day including the well appointed Gym, which I would thoroughly recommend as you get free drinks and fruits and nuts which was more than ample enough for breakfast. The Spa ...

The Imperial Palace is not the biggest or boldest hotel an casino on the LasVegasstrip. Most people probably won't have even heard of it, it's not exactly iconic. However it does have two very redeeming features, location and price.
Ok, this isn't the Bellagio but let's face it who wants to spend all of their time in Vegas in their room when there's the opportunity to lose your money in any of the numerous and more famous casinos. You can just walk into any Casino in Vegas of course as they want your hard earned.
Our room was a reasonable size, was clean, not too noisy with the doors closed considering the chaos outside, it was especially busy when we stayed due to it being Memorial weekend. There was a TV that must have been there a long time as the picture was blurry. That really is all ...
Advantages: Location, price, food, huge rooms, car collection Disadvantages: Hotel room to lobby takes 20 minutes
, postcard, calendar, fluffy pink battery operated heart on a flashing stick and so on.
The biggest surprise was on one of the car park floors, there is a multi million dollar collection of cars on display. Not just any old cars but some of the most exclusive in the world!! You can purchase them if you want, one 1930s Duesenberg was on sale for a mere $1.75million, remember your credit card!!
There was no night time entertainment within the hotel whilst I was there but with hundreds of slot machines in the lobby & huge prizes on offer & access to the LasVegasStrip just outside, so you'll never get bored.
The hotel is located close to the Mirage, Cesar's Palace & Treasure Island hotels & I would recommend it if you intend to stay there for a few nights. I got a better deal telephoning the hotel from the UK that I could from a website. It ...
