This small, quirky and very personal restaurant in Brightons Kemp Town area is a hidden gem with a unique owner.
Jean Jacques is in his 70's and he cooks, washes up and then takes his place by the piano to sing you an old-time set of french songs with a spellbinding atmosphere that is simply extra-ordinary. He has worked with many of the greats, and the walls are covered in black and white photos of his friends and heros.
Food is wholesome, the wine good value, and the service impeccable, but Jean Jacques transforms the evening into something special. A personal greeting for every guest, tales about his life and a shared drink make this an amazing experience.
