THE LAUGHING ONION STAYS OPEN DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND

Jean Jacques has been inundated with regulars wishes, sad that he is retiring. Consequently he has issued the statement below & is now continuing to open twice monthly.

He does ultimatley intend to stop the cooking, washing-up, cleaning-up etc & just concentrate on the entertaining. Consequently a new lease will still be available for an appropriate person to take over and continue the good popular name of 'the Laughing Onion'. That way Jean-Jacques will also be available and very happy to carry on entertaining in the restaurant twice monthly.

JJ's message to his friends:

"I would like to thank you all for your support since 1976 and for the calls asking me not retire.
Therefore, I have decided to open every other Saturday".

Jean-Jacques

P.S.

Wow, I caused so much confusion eh? No, I'm not Jean-Jacques; he's 75 & can only just operate a phone, let alone a computer!

I'm a regular customer & friend. He was a little upset that everybody thinks he's now closed - he hasnt retired fully & opens for bookings every other Saturday.

You can't do a conventional review of the Laughing Onion - just go there & you will understand!

Its a French restaurant in Brighton. Its simply unique! Its not high brow, but if you don't mind a bit of surrealism & roughing it up a little, you should have a terrific night.

So, hope this now dosent sound like a press release - I'm not on the Laughing Onion payroll (Jean-Jacques only just breaks even as you'll find out when you visit) , but I am a fan.

Thank you.

I'm sorry but there isn't enough in your review about the restaurant ie decor, food type and variety, opening hours, location, vegetarian options etc.
