...My wife and I stayed overnight in The Lion n mid-June 2007, the first time we've stayed there for several years. We left it till the last minute before deciding on whether to go there or the Prince Rupert nearby. It was a very pleasant surprise when we popped our heads through the front door. It was immediately obvious that the public rooms were much much cleaner than they used to be. We asked to see a couple of rooms, and they were happy to let us, unaccompanied. We decided at once that it had improved significantly, enough to convince us to stay and we very much enjoyed the experience and would go back. The Lion is under new management and it SHOWS!...

Advantages: Superb Facilities, Excellent Price, Lions on show! Disadvantages: None.
...Las Vegas is synonymous with many things including opulence, splendour, outrageous facilities and everything "larger than life". Price, is one thing that is usually not associated with Las Vegas, however. Nevertheless, the MGM Grand Casino can now finally put that expensive reputation to rest.
The MGM Grand is officially the second largest hotel in the world and offers superb facilitied, excellent sized rooms with superb levels of cleanliness and very helpful staff. The Casino itself is wonderful, as expected along with a vast array of restaurants with many resident super chefs.
Along with all this you have the added bonus of an area where you can see real life lions who are in fact descendents of the original MGM lions!
Overall a superb hotel and a superb experience.
Highly recomended....

Advantages: great safaris and beaches Disadvantages: dirty, too hot
...Mombasa is a dry, hot and dirty place. I have been there twice now.
I went on a 2-day safari there - that was brilliant! Fantastic!
At the hotel place we were staying at, there was a pool outside, and, at night, loads and loads of elephants came and drank water from it. We were like a metre away in an underground tunnel thing. IT WAS AMAZING!!!
We also went on a night safari and we saw 3 male lions right in front of our van!
3 MALE LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also saw cubs, female lions, zebra and many other animals during the day.
The beach we went to was great - although it was full of seaweed!
The water was really warm though and really nice...
Mombasa is not a bad place!...
