Advantages: Short queues, nice location, near to good pizza shops. Disadvantages: Musicak.

They kept on filling my glass up and so the only natural thing to do was get outrageously drunk. It was not my fault; it was theirs. I was going to list all the stupid things I found myself doing and then note that none of them were bad enough to sober me up or bring me to the conclusion that it was time to go home. I am not going to do that, let’s not embarrass myself any further, however, I am still going to maintain that it was the unpleasant shock of finding in the Liquid Room that helped the penny drop.
With hindsight there were a number of very good clues that the nightclub would be rubbish. There were, for example, massive queues everywhere else but none for the Liquid Room. The bouncer with the Greek accent and the gold tooth was another clue.
The club itself is rather small; you enter at top, pay the door and then trot down about three levels of steps. I do not mind small nightclubs myself, for ages now if you’ve been into rock and heavy styles then you’ve had to find these obscure gems. The Liquid Room isn’t an obscure gem; the Liquid Room was more like dirty janitor’s closet.
I didn’t like having to trek across the dance floor in order to reach the cloakroom. I was not too keen on the prices of the drinks either.
The dance floor itself wasn’t bad. There was a small area by the bar and then, the bit I liked, was the raised stage area beside that. Over all, it could have been very good. There was the potential for a bit of the theme in the club. It could have been so wonderfully industrial or, perhaps, even gothic.
Why oh why do they play pop then? To appeal to the widest possible crowd? I’ve already said that the queues everywhere else were much longer and so I don’t think that’s working. Do they play pop because the club’s struggling and they find themselves dependant on the sort of people who are too young to get into any club with a stricter door policy? Yes, I suspect that’s it and I think that’s a decision that will come back and bite them on the arse.
The strange thing is that give the fickle flow of club going fashion trends it could only be a matter of months before the Liquid Room is hip again. It has been popular before. I remember it as being that club next to the Rocking Horse that always had the long queues of students outside. Now the Rocking Horse is gone and it looks like the club that’s replaced it, Espionage, is drinking the life of the Liquid Room.
Advantages: New, cool interior, good location Disadvantages: Quite expensive, too small
Liquid is one of the newer clubs in Cardiff. It is in a central location situated on St Marys Street, 5 minutes away from the central Train Station and Bus Station.
Whenever I visit Liquid there is always a huge queue to get in, proving that Liquid has gained many fans and is the premmier night club in central Cardiff.
Liquid still looks as new as when it was first built and everyone i've ever talked to about it stresses how fantastic the interior design is. Cold air blows from fans and the walls are covered in lava lamps and projected lava lamps on every wall and ceiling.
There are three main parts to the club. Before you enter the dancefloor there is a chilling out part with lots of chairs where you can buy food and get a membership card but I always find this extremely busy. There is a main dancefloor which is round and not ...

***ABOUT THE CLUB***
Liquid, Envy & the VIP Rooms are 3 different rooms all under one roof. Each one of these offers different music and different styles to suit your taste.
* LIQUID - This is the main room in the club and is also the biggest. This room holds over 1000 people and has state of the art circular screens on the main dance-floor to project colours and patterns around the room when in use. They also have a state of the art sound system and lighting equipment to ensure clubbers get the best experience. This is strictly over 18's only and is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.
* ENVY - This room is located downstairs from the main room (Liquid) and still holds a huge 750 people. This room is more relaxed & has soft, comfortable furnishings and subtle lighting. This room is only open on Friday's and Saturday ...
Advantages: would have to think very hard to find one Disadvantages: a waste of time really unless you like standing out in all weather for no reason which they make you do. i mean they have to look like they have a queue dont they
Liquid is on St Marys st, which opened up last summer. Supposed to be this great new club it is diappointimg as the place is tiny, with all the wall white and a lazer putting pictures on it.Thats fine at first but it really does hurt your eyes and when drinking you dont want to be looking at something moving around all the time.It seem that s all that it has going for itself.
When it first opened they had a habit of holding the queue outside for ages. People went there as it was the new place to be, the novelty of it soon weared off. It seemed that they thought a long queue would make people think, oh theres a queue so that must be a good place to go. Dont they realise they are waiting there for nothing. Why keep paying customers outside, it beats me. Any normal club would have them in buying drinks.
This club seems to let anyone in ...
