Advantages: Handy stop-off on your travels Disadvantages: A busy venue at all times of the day
...Driving northbound on the Sligo to Donegal road (N15) you are sure to drive through the picturesque village of Drumcliff. The Churchyard here is internationally recognised as the burial place of the poet WB.Yeats making this the definitive heart of Yeats Country.
Drumcliff is also home to The Yeats Tavern Restaurant & Davis's Pub. One of Sligo’s oldest drinking and eating establishments, this fine pub/restaurant has been owned and run by the Davis family for over thirty five years.
From the drinking mans local of the 1960’s, progressing on to their first menu of fresh fish, soup and sandwiches in the 70’s, the new century has seen this pub evolve to become a quality venue for eating and socialising. Open seven days a week, and only five miles from Sligo town, this is a popular spot frequented by both locals and visitors alike...

Advantages: Cheap, friendly Disadvantages: Small aircraft
...I flew with Gill Airways for the first time in around 6 months the other day and had forgotten how welcoming and accommodating their staff are compared to the likes of BA and bmi. Nothing appears to be too much trouble and they certainly appear to value your custom rather than the other 2 who seem to feel that passengers are an inconvenience.

Advantages: Small airline, thats really going places, well Paris at least Disadvantages: Dont get BA points, but who wants to fly BA anyway!!
...I flew with Gill on several times from its base in Newcastle. They operate a good choice of services from the North east to Dublin, Belfast, Aberdeen, Stansted and (Paris in conjuction with Air France).
Im glad to say that the thing that put me off flying with the company has now been changed.I use to hate flying on some of there smaller flying box kind of aircrafts.Mainly they were slow, very noisey and scary to fly on if it was windy. Now they have ditched there smaller planes they operate larger ATR turbo props which are a lot nicer and spacious and also new Fokker 100 jets on the Paris route. The ATRS have two rows of two seats, with decent legroom for a short journey. Snacks are provided on route, with a complimentary drink of your choice.
Gillair have started a freqent flyer card, but at the moment is best descibed...
