The meadows, in central Edinburgh provide a glorious walk.... past gorgeous tenament flats where you can see in and admire lovely furnishings, artwork, and plants. A fabulous background for sipping champagne (or cider if you are a) poor b) a student c)both on a warm summer evening. In the shadow of Arthurs seat resembling a headless lion, overseeing its territory you can soak up the academic ambience as you amble towards the university buildings. ... ...friends and even visits form the circus. It is clean and enjoyable and provides a walkway to a variety of attractions Ye Olde Golf Inn on one side, Greyfriars bobby and the Elephant House (fantastic coffe shop) on the other. On a hungover Sunday it can gently ease you in to the hub of a vibrant city....one of my favourite places!!! ...
