The Meadows

Advantages: Nice place to walk or play sports, a good open space in the city
Disadvantages: Can get busy in summer, not a good place to visit in the rain!

**** What are the meadows? **** The meadows is basically the name given to a large park on the south side of the centre of Edinburgh. A fabulous background for sipping champagne (or cider if you are a) poor b) a student c)both on a warm summer evening. It is clean and enjoyable and provides a walkway to a variety of attractions Ye Olde Golf Inn on one side, Greyfriars bobby and the Elephant House (fantastic coffe shop) on the other.
