Venue can be very busy, especially in teh summer months. Good starting location to walk east along the front. Better venues are easliy found a couple of streets north of the sea front. Best breakfast venues would still be Macs Cafe (Whitehawk, behind Marina) and Seafron WQest of Hove Lagoon. Drinks are all OK, but would seriously consider this cafe for cold food and drinks only.
Advantages: reasonably priced, busy, music Disadvantages: can get very cramped
too big universities. It is a happy pub and doesnt have a uncomfortable or b*tchy atmosphere unlike some other pubs in Brighton. It is usually a party atmosphere and is often used as a meetingplace for parties.
The Service:
Bar service is usually relatively quick despite it being very busy.
The Drinks:
Drinks are reasonably priced, with a special card available which means that you can get cheaper drinks (card costs £5 i think and selected drinks are then £2.50). There is a good selection available.
The Facilities:
There are tvs and sky which show sport during the day and in the early evening. There is also a stage which hosts local bands and dj's. The toilets are nice, although there is one of those irritating toilet attendants who try to desperately sell you a squirt of deodrant for £1. ...

Advantages: good prices, good atmosphere, lovely loos! Disadvantages: Doesn't open until 12, priceyish food.
The tin drum is a large vibrant meeting and eating place. It's situated on Dyke Raod on the Brighton side of seven dials, about a fifteen minute walk (lets say twenty if you're coming up that hill!) from Churchill Square and the main buzz of Brighton so perhaps a little out of the way for a quick coffee mid shop. However if you happen to be in the area as i am for college each day or if you just want to get out of the central hum of the city (yes a city now! la la la) then this is well worth a visit (although bear in mind tht it doesn't open until midday i don't think - i'll get back to you on that one!)
The whole of the front is windowed and gives a very open and accessable impression. I'm not sure if this'd be quite as appealing in the winter but in the summer time it's lovely and keeps the whole place fresh. This with the vibrant ...
Advantages: modern funky club, superb location Disadvantages: expensive at weekends
.
When I am living with my parents in Brighton, I make a regular point of going to Chopper Choons on wednesday as it is the perfect place to meet up with old mates from sixth form college, as well as being the perfect place to meet members of the opposite sex! In my experience however, clubbers at the zap are more interested in having a good time than pulling so I advise against going to the Zap for this sole purpose - try the Event or Creation instead! The zap is a fairly small club - I think its capacity is somewhere in the region of 600. However I believe that this simply adds to the atmosphere of the venue, although it can get cramped on busy nights.
Safety:
Obviously, safety exists as a primary concern to many clubbers nowadays, as you often hear of violence at nightclubs and bars in the media. Fear not however, as in my opinion ...
