Advantages: Fabulous Dining Experience Disadvantages: Expensive, Very Popular - Need to Reserve Table
This upscale fondue restaurant is the perfect place for a romantic meal or a party.

You can choose between four fondue styles in which to cook your preferred meat/seafood - beef, chicken, pork, duck, lobster, shrimp, scallops and salmon are all on offer.
Spectacular platters of your chosen meat/seafood arrive at your table with vegetables, batter and dipping sauces to accompany your culinary efforts. Your waiter then guides you through the cooking process/hygiene rules and gives you the cooking times necessary for each type of meat/seafood.

Talking of drinks the restaurant features an extensive and very impressive wine list (which takes up half of the menu) and the cocktails are out of this world. For a celebration order one of the huge cocktails to share.
After the entrees comes the stunning dessert fondue - your choice of chocolate with the option of adding a glass of your favourite liqueur - we like dark chocolate with Grand Marnier - yum! Kids can choose a S'mores option with marshmallows and biscuits. The fondue is accompanied by pineapple, strawberries, brownie pieces, chunks of sponge cake and is absolutely delicious.
Prices are high at The Melting Pot but for a special occasion the quality of the food and drink, the service and the fun and novelty factor mean that its worth it.
Advantages: Great attractions; fabulous culture; fascinating history Disadvantages: Very noisy and polluted in parts
can't recommend Delhi for its radiant beauty and fabulous weather - it's really rather grotty and the humidity is overpowering at times. However, I can recommend it for being one of the cultural melting-pots of the world, a colourful and vibrant festival of a city, with everything you could expect or want from an Indian metropolis and more. It's all to easy to skip through it in a couple of days and come out the other side barely alive, whispering 'Delhi is hell on earth', but as someone who has endured a night in Varanasi train station, I can tell you that it isn't even close. It's one of those places where you get out what you put in, and although I wouldn't call it relaxing, it has to be one of the most fun places I've been. ...

Advantages: Can see it all in a day or two Disadvantages: No beaches, lack of tourist attractions, expensive taxis
An island with without any beaches? It doesn't seem possible yet somewhow Bahrain manages to acheive it.
A tiny island attached to the vastness of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain is a Kingdom with big plans. Like many of the other Gulf countries, it is a meltingpot of cultures and there's always something to be looking at - women entirely covered in veils showing only their stunning eyes, Indian workers spending their Friday relaxing on the grass in the middle of a roundabout, young Arab boys in their teens driving new Porsche's - the list goes on.
As a holiday destination I would be reluctent to recommend it unless you were timing it with the Grand Prix or visiting someone you know. I think there are other Gulf countries offering more to the tourist, including the UAE and Oman. There aren't many tourist attractions, there's a couple ...
Advantages: Like nowhere else on Earth - very memorable. Disadvantages: Avoid the Easter crowds & summer heat - try May for pleasant weather.
If you are a foreigner in Jerusalem, whether a permanent resident or just passing through, you have certain special privileges. You will see the cool, cosmopolitan Israeli youth culture in the many bars and clubs (check out the Russian Compound area - usually neglected by the tourist crowds, and very trendy), the 4000 year old way of life of the bedouin, and the daily struggles of the Palestinian and Israeli Arab people in the city. You will have access that these groups don't have to some of the richest archaeological sites in the world, that you have heard about since your early childhood, as well as the many world class museums and exhibits (don't leave without seeing the Israel Museum in the SW area). As an outside observer, you can learn an incredible amount, very safely, about this cultural meltingpot. ...
