Advantages: Good atmosphere, amazing buildings, good shopping Disadvantages: Very sad, extremly cold in winter!
...the cold outdoors! The meal was chicken and chips and it cost 8.50 euros a head, with drinks and dessert which wasn't bad. The building looked quite old and may have had some history to it. We then hit the shops and bought lots of lovely, but overpriced Belgium chocolates. I got two large bars(400g) of top notch Belgium chocolate and two boxes of 20 finest Belgium Chocolates for 10 euros, £6.50.
From there it was a short walk to MeninGate in town. Here the Last Post Ceremony takes place at 8pm, every day of every year. On the walls around the place are thousands of names of soldiers, carved into stone. The names extend so far up that it is almost impossible to read all of them. The trumpet sounds and everyone bows their head in respect for the men that died. There is then a brief reading and people lay down wreaths of remembrance. Again...

Advantages: you learn a lot about the world war, doesn't cost a lot if you visiting from U.K Disadvantages: The weather could be really cold and muddy in some areas
...just like in the world war time. If you visit the museums in the area you get to see a few videos and pictures of the world war and they are really sad.. if you are an emotional sensitive person you might not want to look at the pictures or videos provided because they are really really sad. If you visit the town centre you get to see some of the oldest buildings in Belgium. you cant visit this area without attending the MeninGate Memorial. The memorial service starts at 8:pm Belgium time.
If you are a CHOCO-HOLIC then you might want to go with bags and bags.. because the shops in this area sell different types of chocolates at really cheap prices.. i bout a really huge lolly pop for twenty Euro and it wouldn't fit in ma bag lol so had to hold it on my way back. It tooks me ages for it to finish though people kept eating it (not licking...

Advantages: Great location, friendly owners, good price, great breakfast, clean rooms Disadvantages: I wish i could spend more time there!
...The Great Barn Maplecroft B&B is situated in Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire only about 7 miles away from Bath.
The family run business is based around a 13th Century Stone Barn, which the owners live in, having restored it from an old deralict shell about 12 years ago.
The B&B itself is an annex off the house and contains 3 rooms, two double and one large family room (2 single beds and a double) all rooms are en-suite and provide coffee and tea making facilities and a TV. The rooms are decorated to an excellent standard and are kept exceptionally clean. Breakfast is served either in the beautiful conservatory (in the summer) or in the dining room (in the winter). You are offered more than enough food to fill yourselves up for the day. Cerals, toast, fruit, then comes the cooked breakfast, certainly one of the tastest i've ever had...

I bought this oven approximately 9 months ago and so far I've been very pleased with it. It's a very nice-looking appliance for a start (which helps) - it's controls are inconspicuous whilst still being easy enough to use.
The oven has a wide range... more
